More on Both Parties are to Blame
August 31st 08:18:02 PM

As we wrote before, both parties are responsible for the Social Security Crisis. This chart from the Ways and Means Committee clearly shows the growth in "mandatory" spending over the years. The only way to slow the growth of spending is to reform the programs doing the spending. Both parties helped create the problem. Both should work to solve it. entitlements.gif Special thanks to Willisms for finding the chart.

Something to note: Not only did Bush push a huge expansion of an entitlement program through congress, namely his Prescription Drug Plan, Bush lied about the costs of it pressuring bureaucrats who knew better to remain silent, all as part of a reelection bid: http://www.lewrockwell.com/bovard/bovard11.html Now I ask you, why would you believe that someone who does something like that would be inclined t avoid passing ing ss legislation that would expand govt power?

You are exactly right, Both parties have gotten us into the damnable mess. Neither party wants nor Can correct it' That is why we MUST start a third party. Where is Ross Perot when we need him? Please, Please consider advocating this. It is our only hope it seems. Thank you, FE

Perhaps you should consider america's largest third party: the libertarian party www.lp.org
