Keeping an Ear to the Ground
January 29th 01:11:23 PM

S4 Director Mark Harris was at the National Review Institute's conference this weekend, and he ran into former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.  NPR caught the exchange, which went as follows:

Harris: My name's Mark Harris, I run Students for Saving Social Security.  I just wanted to introduce myself...

Romney: Nice to meet you.  I heard about your group.  6000 members?  Is that what I heard?

Harris: 6000 members.

Romney: See, I heard about that.

I would have expected the former Massachusetts Governor to say, "You are that Mark Harris who ran in Pennsylvania and started that first-rate blog savethegop.com. Can I have your autograph?" :-)
