The Dial-up Crisis?
January 24th 04:49:37 PM
Anybody else notice that the Democratic response to the State of the Union didn't say a thing about Social Security? You can read the response here; it doesn't mention entitlement programs at all.
It could be argued that there wasn't enough time last night to discuss Social Security. Except that Senate Majority Leader Reid and Speaker Pelosi made an address last week on the State of the Union, and they didn't say anything about reform either. You can read that address here.
I know it's tough to prioritize, but how is it that there is a timeline of 5 years for everyone to have broadband Internet access and there is no timeline for fixing Social Security?
